
Christina Applegate (born November 25, 1971)[1] is an American actress. Applegate was a young actor and was famous for her character in the role of Kelly Bundy on Fox's sitcom Married... with Children (1987-1997). Applegate began a successful television and film career in her adulthood, winning a Primetime Emmy Award from seven nominations as well as nominations for four Golden Globe Awards and a Tony Award. Applegate appeared in the title role on Jesse, the NBC sitcom Jesse (1998-2000) and led to an Golden Globe Award nomination. Applegate was awarded an award of a Primetime Emmy Award for her guest role in the NBC sitcom Friends (2002-2003). She was nominated for the Tony Award as Best Actress in a Musical for her performance in Sweet Charity (2005). Samantha Who? was her next ABC sitcom. She was later seen in ABC's sitcom Samantha Who (2007-2009), for whom she received two Primetime Emmy Award and the Golden Globe Award; the NBC sitcom Up All Night (2012) and the Netflix drama series Dead to Me (2019-2022), for which she received three Primetime Emmy Award nominations.
